Who this applies to
These Terms are an agreement between you and The St Lucian Hub Ltd. (trading as "Link Up", "we", "us"), a company registered in Saint Lucia. They apply the moment you browse the site, create an account, buy a ticket, or list an event.
Use Link Up = you agree to these rules. If you don't agree, don't use it. Simple as that.
You need to be 18+
To create an account or list an event, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts where you live. Under 18s can attend events with a guardian's consent when the event permits it.
Your account
You're responsible for what happens on your account. Keep your password secret, use a real email address, and don't share logins. If you think someone's used your account without permission, tell us at support@linkup.lc within 48 hours so we can lock it down.
One account per person
Creating multiple accounts to abuse welcome offers, dodge bans, or snap up restricted tickets will get all of them closed and any tickets voided — no refund.
Buying tickets
When you buy a ticket, you're buying it from the organizer — Link Up is the platform that processes the transaction. The organizer is responsible for the event itself (running it, showing up, honouring the ticket). We're responsible for getting your ticket to you, keeping your money safe in escrow, and routing refunds when they apply.
We hold your money until the event happens. If the organizer cancels, you get it back — automatically. See the Refund Policy.
Tickets are for you
Tickets are personal. You can transfer them through your Link Up wallet (free, one tap) but you can't resell them above face value on third-party sites. Tickets sold on the secondary market above face value may be voided at the door.
Hosting events
If you list an event on Link Up, you promise us — and ticket buyers — that:
- You have the right to host the event at the stated venue, on the stated date.
- The event description, line-up, and age policy are accurate and not misleading.
- You'll honour every valid ticket, and if you can't, you'll tell us within 24 hours so we can process refunds.
- You hold all licences, permits, and insurance required under Saint Lucia law (or the law of wherever the event is).
✓ You can
- Set your own ticket prices
- Offer promo codes & early-bird tiers
- Keep buyer data for your event
- Cancel & reschedule (within rules)
✗ You can't
- Sell tickets to unlicensed events
- Use buyer data for unrelated marketing
- Oversell venue capacity
- Take payment off-platform to avoid fees
Payouts
We pay out every Friday for events that happened the week before. Payout is 72 hours after doors close (to cover chargeback windows). If an event is cancelled, funds go back to ticket holders, not to you.
Behaviour on the platform
We want Link Up to feel like the Caribbean at its best — warm, welcoming, and rowdy in the right way. To keep it that way, don't:
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone based on race, nationality, sexuality, gender, religion, or disability.
- Post content that's illegal, deceptive, or promotes violence.
- Scrape the site, build bots to snipe tickets, or reverse-engineer the app.
- Impersonate another person, organizer, or venue.
We may remove content, suspend accounts, or cooperate with law enforcement if you break these rules. We'll try to warn you first when we can, but we won't always be able to.
Fees & taxes
Our current fee schedule for Saint Lucia and the Eastern Caribbean:
We'll give you 30 days' notice before any fee increase, and the new rate only applies to events listed after that date.
Your content
You keep every bit of copyright in whatever you upload — event photos, descriptions, videos, artwork. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and promote it on and off Link Up (think: Instagram posts about your event). You can revoke it by taking the event down.
Your photos stay yours. We just need your permission to show them on the site and in our marketing.
Our liability
Link Up is a platform — we don't run the events ourselves. If something goes wrong at an event (injury, property damage, promoter behaviour), your claim is against the organizer. We'll help you find them and we'll support legitimate refund claims, but we're not the party at fault.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account any time from Settings → Account → Close. We'll refund any unused wallet balance within 14 days.
We can suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if law enforcement tells us to, or if your account has been inactive for 3 years. Where we can, we'll give you 30 days' notice and a chance to export your data.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Saint Lucia. Disputes go first to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court sitting in Castries, unless we both agree to arbitration. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest of the agreement still stands.
